Jack Sinclair, our chief executive officer and board member, brings more than 35 years of experience in retail and grocery to Sprouts since joining the company in June 2019.

He has served as a board member of FMI – The Food Industry Association since 2020 and was appointed to the Los Angeles branch board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in January 2021. Jack was previously chief executive officer of 99 Cents Only Stores LLC, a premier discount retailer with over 350 locations in the United States, since 2018. Prior to that, he was chief merchandising officer from 2015 to 2018. From 2007 to 2015, Jack was the executive vice president of the U.S. Grocery Division of Walmart, Inc., where he led all aspects of Walmart’s U.S. grocery business at its more than 4,000 stores, which generated substantial growth under his leadership through a focus on local assortment and fresh foods. Jack also spent 14 years at Safeway PLC in London where he was responsible for operations, merchandising and marketing for over 450 Safeway supermarket and convenience store locations throughout the United Kingdom. He served on the board of directors of The Hain Celestial Group, a leading marketer, manufacturer and seller of organic and natural products, from September 2017 to June 2019.

Jack earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and marketing from The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.

Dustin Hamilton was appointed chief stores officer in November 2023. From August 2021 to November 2023, he served as our Regional Vice President for our California region. Prior to joining Sprouts, Dustin served as division vice president of retail at Bridgestone Corporation. Additionally, he served at Target Corporation in positions of increasing responsibility in retail management, culminating as Group Vice President.

Dustin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communication management from DeVry University.

Kim Coffin, our Chief Forager, joined Sprouts in 2012 and brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery space, strengthening product categories and building strong partnerships with our vendors.

Prior to her current role, Kim served as vice president of grocery at Sprouts for eight years. Before joining Sprouts, Kim held various leadership roles at Sunflower Farmers Market. From 1987 to 2010, Kim worked in grocery sales for Albertsons.

Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Portland State University.

Alisa Gmelich, our chief marketing officer, joined Sprouts in December 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience in brand development, marketing strategy, and customer loyalty to Sprouts.

Alisa most recently served as chief brand officer at Auntie Anne’s, and previously spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry where she held various positions, including vice president of marketing at IHOP, where she spearheaded its customer growth strategy, national programs and menu innovation. Prior to IHOP, Alisa led a marketing team for Burger King Corporation as director of U.S. sales, field marketing, driving local and national initiatives.

Alisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Art History from University of California, Riverside.

Scott Neal, Chief Merchandising Officer of Sprouts Farmers Market, leads the perishable and non-perishable teams, as well as the merchandise planning and schematics organizations. Scott has more than 25 years of retail experience. Prior to joining Sprouts in June of 2020, he served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for the fresh food division of Walmart U.S., where he oversaw produce, meat, and seafood merchandising along with quality control. Scott served Walmart over a 24-year career, including multiple leadership roles in the domestic and international businesses. Before moving to the U.S. division, he served as the head of general merchandise for Walmart Mexico from 1999 – 2003.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University and served as a member of the board of directors of Feeding America from 2016 to 2020. He was also awarded the “Sam Walton Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Walton Family.

Prior to joining Petco, Nick served as director of food operations and merchandise planning at Target Corporation where he held a range of merchandising, planning and leadership roles across the food and fashion categories. He also spent six years with Accenture plc, a multinational professional services company.

Nick holds an honors bachelor’s degree in political science and government from St. John’s University.

Curtis Valentine, our chief financial officer since January 2024, contributes over 15 years of extensive financial and retail experience. With a tenure of more than eight years in leadership within the Sprouts financial organization, Curtis brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic financial acumen to the CFO role. Prior to joining Sprouts, Curtis served in financial management roles across multiple business units for seven years at PetSmart, Inc.

Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Timmi Zalatoris, our Chief Human Resources Officer, joined Sprouts in March 2017 and brings more than 17 years of HR leadership experience to our brand. She demonstrates a deep passion for our people and ensures we have the right talent across our company to drive success and build meaningful careers at Sprouts. She previously served as Head of Talent Management at Payless, and Senior Director of Human Resources at Ferrell Companies. Prior to that, she held various retail management roles.

Timmi earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Houston.

Amanda Mikulski joined Sprouts in 2023 as the Regional HR Manager for the Northeast, bringing 15+ years of experience leading HR teams at global brands including Red Bull, Victoria’s Secret, L’Oréal, and Universal Music Group. She specializes in employee engagement, talent development, organizational transformation, and leading through change.

Amanda is known for building inclusive, high-performing cultures, driving retention, and aligning teams through growth and transition. 

She studied Organizational Communication at Michigan State University and completed continuing education in HR Management at University of California – Los Angeles.

Cristina Edison brings almost 20 years of retail leadership experience, having grown up in operations and store management before transitioning into her true passion—training and development. With a career rooted in field operations, she has worked with global brands known for their customer engagement and immersive atmospheres, including her most recent role at Starbucks as a Regional Training Manager and certified Coffee Master. Cristina joined Sprouts in 2022 as a Regional Training & Development Manager. She is a certified facilitator in Purpose & Inclusion, Culture & Values, and Coaching, and is deeply committed to fostering environments where team members can thrive. She is especially passionate and takes pride in helping team members evolve into confident and capable leaders. 

Troy Knight joined Sprouts in 2019 and currently serves as the Manager of Human Resources for the Florida Region. Previously, he supported the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro Area as a Senior HR Business Partner. Prior to Sprouts, Troy spent nearly 25 years with Sears in various leadership roles, including Store Manager and District HR Manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University.

Amy Buchanan is a passionate Learning and Development professional currently serving as a Regional Training and Development Manager at Sprouts, where she is driving growth and capability-building since 2022. With a career spanning impactful roles at Chewy, Pacific Dental Services, and Diamond Resorts, Amy brings a wealth of experience in training, coaching, and organizational development. 

She is a certified D.I.G. Into Coaching facilitator through the Hudson Institute of Coaching and a certified DDI Process Workshop coach and facilitator. Amy describes herself as a coach and forever learning, with a deep commitment to helping others reach their professional goals. A proud alumna of St. Petersburg College, she has a customer service obsession and a genuine love for developing people. 

Rashad Smith joined Sprouts in 2023 as the Regional Training Manager for the Central Region, bringing with him not only a wealth of experience but a personal connection to the brand—having been a loyal customer in the Houston area since 2013. With over 14 years of cross-industry expertise spanning restaurants, software, medical, education, and government sectors, Rashad has built a dynamic career in learning and development across operations, field, and corporate environments. His skill set includes strategic leadership, onboarding, instructional design, LMS management, and leading high-performing training teams for store openings and special projects. Along with acquiring numerous certifications, in May 2025, Rashad earned his Master of Arts in Adult Learning & Development with a concentration in Workforce Development, further deepening his commitment to empowering others through lifelong learning. Rashad is deeply aligned with Sprouts’ mission to promote healthy living and is inspired by the company’s culture of support and wellness that resonates nationwide.

Byron Lindemann joined Sprouts in 2018 as an HR Advisor in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.  He was promoted to Regional HR Manager in 2019 and currently serves as the Manager of Human Resources for the Central Region.  Prior to joining Sprouts, Byron was with Sam’s Club for 31 years.  The first 20 years were spent in Operations; 17 years as a store manager.  The last 11 years were as a HR Business Partner in the DFW Metroplex.  He earned his BBA in Business from The University of Texas.  For him, the most satisfying and rewarding part of his job is helping others achieve their goals in their career.

Sam Hazelwood joined Sprouts in 2018 as a Supply Chain Training Coordinator and has since grown through multiple roles supporting training, labor, and leadership development across business. With over 10 years of experience in training, Sam has played a key role in launching new programs and expanding development support to both Supply Chain and Store Operations teams. Now a Talent & Development Manager, Sam is passionate about helping others grow by connecting them to resources and opportunities that unlock their potential. The proudest moments in Sam’s work come when team members share the wins they’ve achieved in their own development journeys.

Molly Steinman joined Sprouts in 2022 as the Manager of Leadership Development, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in training and leadership development. Throughout her career, she has designed and led impactful training programs across healthcare and retail, with expertise in development, onboarding, and instructional design. Molly has been instrumental in designing and implementing Sprouts updated Competency Guide and Leadership Model, as well as launching key development programs for store and support office leaders. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that align with business strategy and help team members grow their careers with confidence and purpose.  

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Quincy University and numerous certifications in facilitation.

Brandon Hartline joined Sprouts in July 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in HR with companies such as California Pizza Kitchen, Quiksilver and Oakley.  As Regional HR Manager at Sprouts, he supports the SoCal Region and works closely with field leaders to grow talent, coach teams, and build strong leadership pipelines.  Brandon is passionate about helping people succeed and creating a culture where teams thrive.

Lisa McLaughlin joined Sprouts 8 years ago as part of the Talent Acquisition team. After 10 years in retail operations as a Store Manager, she came to Sprouts with a passion for finding top talent and people-focused leaders for our stores. In early 2024, Lisa transitioned to the Training team, where she continued to grow that passion by developing others, driving engagement in our teams, and helping leaders and their teams thrive.

Lauren Hunter is a seasoned Learning & Development professional with over 20 years of experience in retail, hospitality, and security, having held various roles across both Operations and Human Resources with companies such as Disney, Panera, and Securitas. She joined Sprouts Farmers Market in January 2023 as a Regional Training Manager. Lauren is passionate about empowering others through engaging, hands-on learning that drives both personal growth and business results. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fullerton.

Randee Leisy joined Sprouts in 2023 as a Human Resources Manager, bringing 10 years of experience in HR. She began her career at Target, spending three years as an in-store HR Manager before transitioning to a field HRBP role. Her time at Carvana added startup experience and a focus on process improvement and strategic people initiatives. At Sprouts, she supports several SSO functions through strategic business partnering and supports Culture & Values and DIG Coaching facilitation efforts. She is passionate about aligning people strategies with business goals and empowering teams to thrive. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University and earned a Senior Professional HR certification in 2024.

Hollie Becker has spent the past 20 years in a variety of Human Resources roles within the retail industry. She joined Sprouts in February 2018 and has served as the Director of Talent Acquisition since 2019. Prior to joining Sprouts, Hollie spent 12 years at Payless ShoeSource.  She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism. Helping people discover Sprouts as a Best Place to Work is one of the most rewarding aspects of her role, and she’s passionate about building meaningful connections that foster both individual development and organizational success.

Melissa Gamache joined Sprouts in 2015 and is the Director of Field Human Resources. In her 10 years at Sprouts she has grown her role beginning as Human Resources Business Partner supporting Northern California. Melissa also held the role of Sr. HRBP, HR Manager and was promoted to Director of HR in 2019. Prior to joining Sprouts, Melissa held various retail and restaurant operations leadership roles in organizations like P.F. Changs, Target, Macy’s and Nordstrom. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Government from California State University, Sacramento. 

Lucas Larson joined Sprouts in November 2010. He brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery industry. Before his time with Sprouts Lucas held various positions with both the Kroger Company and Winn-Dixie.   Lucas excels at guiding large teams toward exceptional performance and strategic success. With a proven ability to inspire, organize, and execute, he combines a relentless drive for results with a genuine passion for developing talent. Known for creating high-performing environments, he empowers associates to realize their full potential—fostering growth, accountability, and a shared vision for success.

Hilda Doushgounian is the Regional Vice President at Sprouts Farmers Market, where she’s been leading with purpose since 2022. With senior leadership experience at both Target and Amazon, she brings a strong background in leading large teams, driving strategic growth, and developing top talent. Hilda holds a bachelor's degree in business management and is known for her passion for people and commitment to operational excellence.

With over 40 years in the grocery industry, including 7 years in leadership at Sprouts Farmers Market, Ricky brings a strategic, people-focused approach that consistently drives results. Ricky is passionate about mentoring, he fosters trust, collaboration, and growth, building strong relationships and developing future retail leaders while upholding operational excellence, integrity, and accountability.

Evan Naylor is Vice President of Operations Strategy & Transformation at Sprouts Farmers Market, joining in February 2024.Prior to joining Sprouts, Evan held numerous leadership positions across large corporations, entrepreneurial ventures and in the military. He served as the COO of Monro, Inc., Head of Retail, Marketing & Merchandising at CrossAmerica Partners, VP of Sales & Operations at Murphy USA, and Group VP at Target. He’s also held leadership roles at The Home Depot and brings additional expertise from strategy consulting and serving as a senior executive in robotics and AI start‑ups.  A former U.S. Army Major, Evan served both on active duty and in the National Guard, including a deployment to Iraq.He holds a bachelor’s degree from Centre College and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Emily Despriet was promoted to the Regional Vice President of the new Northwest region in January 2024 after joining Sprouts in June 2022 as the District director of the South Bay.  Before joining Sprouts, Emily held several leadership roles at Old Navy, Ross, and Mervyns, growing up in retail.  She is deeply passionate about developing leaders and driving results. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Monmouth College, and a Master of Science degree in Business from Colorado State University.

Tarik Stewart has served as the Regional Vice President of the Central Region since joining Sprouts Farmers Market on July 8th, 2024. Tarik brings to Sprouts over 25 years of retail and food service experience from several global companies, such as 7-Eleven Inc., and Stop & Shop (Ahold Delhaize). During his time with 7-Eleven, Tarik held many positions from store operations, category manager, director of operations, and director of business transformation & change management. At Stop & Shop, Tarik held the title of VP of Operations for their NY region, in which he oversaw the operations of 84 grocery stores and five home delivery warehouses. Tarik also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California and an MBA from Baylor University. He has also served as a Board Member for the Long Island Cares Food Bank. Tarik is passionate about developing his team and helping his region grow. In his spare time, he and his wife, Tricia like to eat good food, travel the world, and spend time with their daschund, Jack.

Cory David serves as the Regional Vice President of the Southwest Region and has held this role since August of 2023.  He began his Sprouts career as District Director in California in June 2021.  Cory has a long career in retail and store operations with humble beginnings as a Courtesy Clerk with Hy-Vee in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he was raised.  Before Sprouts Farmers Market, he held high-impact roles in the discount retail industry with 99 Cents Only Stores as Sr. Director Store Operations and Family Dollar as a Regional Vice President.  In addition to the field roles, Cory spent over 7 years as a Store Director for companies such as Roundy’s Supermarket and Winn-Dixie. Cory has a passion for people development and mentorship, as he contributes his success to those who mentored him along the way. He is passionate about giving back to others.

During his time with 7-Eleven, Tarik held many positions from store operations, category manager, director of operations, and director of business transformation & change management. At Stop & Shop, Tarik held the title of VP of Operations for their NY region, in which he oversaw the operations of 84 grocery stores and five home delivery warehouses. Tarik also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California and an MBA from Baylor University. He has also served as a Board Member for the Long Island Cares Food Bank. Tarik is passionate about developing his team and helping his region grow. In his spare time, he and his wife, Tricia like to eat good food, travel the world, and spend time with their daschund, Jack.

Cory David serves as the Regional Vice President of the Southwest Region and has held this role since August of 2023.  He began his Sprouts career as District Director in California in June 2021.  Cory has a long career in retail and store operations with humble beginnings as a Courtesy Clerk with Hy-Vee in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he was raised.  Before Sprouts Farmers Market, he held high-impact roles in the discount retail industry with 99 Cents Only Stores as Sr. Director Store Operations and Family Dollar as a Regional Vice President.  In addition to the field roles, Cory spent over 7 years as a Store Director for companies such as Roundy’s Supermarket and Winn-Dixie. Cory has a passion for people development and mentorship, as he contributes his success to those who mentored him along the way. He is passionate about giving back to others. 

Stanton Swinton joined SFM in 2016, Stan has an extensive career that spans executive roles at Sprouts, Strack & Van Til, A&P, and Albertsons.  Stan has significant leadership experience in category management, merchandising, operations, and driving sales across most CPG areas. Departments include grocery, frozen food, fresh meat, dairy, seafood as well as spirits, beer, & wine and pharmacy.  Over half of Stan’s 37-year grocery retail career was spent managing and developing teams in stores, with over 5 years running multiple stores. Stan began his career at Frys (Kroger) holding various store positions for 7years until leaving to join Alberton's. Stan is a graduate of New Caney High School and attended college at North Harris CC.

Tom Raviv is the founder of Milliways, one of the fastest growing chewing gum companies in the world. Before launching Milliways, Tom worked in London’s finance industry, where he would chew a pack of gum a day whilst crunching numbers. Tom launched Milliways in 2021, after learning that the chewing gum he’d been chewing was made from chewy plastic ingredients. Andrew Bradshaw has 20 years of CPG experience in sales and category leadership roles, including 13 years at Wrigley and further roles at Andros and Dole Packaged Foods Europe.  As Milliways Sales Director, Andrew brings wide perspective and experience to the team and has set his sights on scaling and growing the brand and the category globally alongside Tom. Passionate about delivering the triple win that Milliways provides for consumers, the category and the environment, and giving chewers a quality choice without compromise, the ambition is to bring new or lapsed users back into the category and switch conventional gum users into a plastic free alternative. Better for you, better for the environment!

Nick Bell began his journey with Sprouts as a Store Manager at Henry’s Farmers Market, before taking on the role of Meat Merchandiser, a role he continued following Henry’s merger with Sprouts. His career progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility, including Assistant Regional Manager in San Diego and Regional Director in Georgia, where he was instrumental in our expansion and development into a national brand. Nick began his current role as DRI in 2021. Nick held various positions at Albertsons prior to coming over to Sprouts in 2004.   Nick is a graduate of California State University, San Marcos.

Trevor Stowers was appointed Director of Retail Initiatives in July 2025, after joining Sprouts in October 2023 as the District Director for the La Empire District #40 in the Southern California region. During his time at Sprouts, Trevor has most enjoyed hosting community events throughout Southern California and helping to drive a culture of talent development across the organization. Prior to joining Sprouts, he served as the region director for the southwest region at Bridgestone Retail Operations. Trevor holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona.

Isabella “Bella” Hughes is a repeat founder, mentor and angel investor with experience spanning the arts, entrepreneurship and emerging CPG. Born and raised in Honolulu, she splits her time between Austin and Hawaiʻi. Currently, she’s the chief revenue officer of Better Sour, a globally-inspired sour candy brand that she co-founded with her lifelong best friend in 2023 that's now available in over 3,500 doors. She also co-founded Hawaiʻi Contemporary, which puts on the largest contemporary arts festival in the Pacific, Hawaiʻi Contemporary, as well as Shaka Tea, which she led through a successful exit in 2022. Most recently, Hughes was honored by Inc. Magazine as one of 2025’s Female Founders 500. 

Semira Nikou is the co-founder and CEO of Better Sour, a globally-inspired sour candy brand. Prior to this role, her career spanned law and public policy, most recently as a senior associate at a Washington, DC, law firm. Semira’s sour palate was cultivated during her years living in the Middle East and a farm in Hawai'i.

Kyle began his journey with Sprouts in 2013 at Store 237 in Laguna Niguel, CA. In 2016, he moved into training and development, where he found his passion for supporting team members and helping them learn and grow. Prior to joining Sprouts, Kyle spent 23 years with Hughes Family Markets and Ralphs Grocery Company, serving in various store leadership roles. He’s energized by the incredible talent of our team members and is inspired by their drive and passion to help people live and eat better. A lifelong learner, Kyle completed the WACF Retail Management Certificate Program and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of California, Riverside.

Brian Hillins is a seasoned retail leader with a career dedicated to understanding and meeting customer needs through roles at top retailers including Target, Sam’s Club, and PetSmart. In 2023, inspired by the purpose-driven mission of Sprouts, Brian shifted his focus from simply merchandising products to delivering meaningful solutions to help customers live and eat better. Over the past two years, Brian has led the transformation of the Vitamins and Health & Beauty Aids (HBA) business, driving innovation and differentiation through a focus on unique, customer-centric products and solutions. Brian and his team are equally passionate about operational excellence, continuously seeking ways to streamline store processes so in-aisle experts can spend more time helping customers find the right solutions for healthier living.  Brian is looking forward to his second Sproutscon and reconnecting with Vitamin and HBA managers and discussing plans to continue to grow the business during the back half of 2025 and beyond.  

Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, renowned actress, host, and entrepreneur, founded Formless Beauty out of her personal journey with autoimmune conditions and severe skin sensitivities, ensuring her products are clean, vegan, fragrance free, and free of over 900 questionable ingredients aligned with EWG standards. As a passionate advocate for ingredient transparency and performance skincare, she built Formless Beauty from the ground up to offer high-quality, gentle formulas that support all skin types, including those with allergies or chronic sensitivities. She will bring her unique blend of entertainment energy, health advocacy, and clean beauty leadership to Sproutscon to discuss how she’s redefining what clean beauty actually means—inside and out.

Misty Long joined Sprouts in 2019 and has grown within the company, holding various roles within MP&A and Pricing supporting Grocery departments before moving into HBA. She brings nearly 25 years of merchandising experience across companies like Macy’s, Nordstrom, and REI. In her current role, she’s passionate about building thoughtful assortments, driving innovation, and keeping the customer at the center of it all.

Justin Miloro joined Sprouts in September 2024 as Director of Merchandising for Vitamins & Supplements. With over 25 years in the natural products industry—split evenly between retail and vendor leadership—Justin brings a wealth of experience and insight to his role. He has served as VP of Sales for multiple leading brands across vitamins, body care, and grocery, cultivating deep relationships throughout the industry. A passionate advocate for natural, organic, and sustainable products, Justin is known as an early adopter and expert trend-spotter. His ability to build high-performing teams, mentor emerging talent, and drive innovation has consistently translated into meaningful growth in sales and revenue. His mission is rooted in helping people live and eat better through thoughtful merchandising and disruptive product curation.

Gary Brecka is a renowned human biologist, biohacker, and longevity expert with over two decades of experience in analyzing human biomarkers. Formerly a mortality-modeling expert in the insurance industry, Gary transitioned into health optimization to help people not just live longer — but live better. He is the founder of The Ultimate Human, a wellness platform dedicated to empowering individuals through science-backed strategies. Gary has worked with top athletes, CEOs, and celebrities, including UFC President Dana White and musician Jelly Roll, helping them achieve transformative health outcomes. Molly Steinman joined Sprouts in 2022 as the Manager of Leadership Development, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in training and leadership development. Throughout her career, she has designed and led impactful training programs across healthcare and retail, with expertise in development, onboarding, and instructional design. Molly has been instrumental in designing and implementing Sprouts updated Competency Guide and Leadership Model, as well as launching key development programs for store and support office leaders. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that align with business strategy and help team members grow their careers with confidence and purpose.  

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Quincy University and numerous certifications in facilitation.

Chef Matthew Pratta is the Corporate Chef and Culinary Director at Sprouts Farmers Market where he is charged with a wide selection of prepared foods across the store, assists in the creation of private label products and answers to all things culinary. He has worked in food service as a product developer for multiple retailers, cut his teeth in the Michelin circuit in La Rioja, Spain and Barcelona. He formalized his training at Johnson & Wales University with a background in culinary nutrition.

John Muhlestein joined Sprouts in 2021 and leads the Instructional Design Team. With over 25 years of experience in training and learning design, he has created impactful learning solutions across higher education, technology, and the financial sector. In 2001, he helped pioneer one of the first paywall-based online universities. John holds three master’s degrees—in Education, Business Administration, and Organizational Behavior.

With over a decade of experience at Sprouts, Jacob has held a variety of roles, starting as a courtesy clerk at Store 226 in San Diego. He later transitioned to the support office, where he contributed to meat department merchandising initiatives before stepping into his current leadership role. Jacob is committed to driving innovation in the deli prepared foods category and excels in bringing strategic vision and operational excellence to his team.

Lucas Larson joined Sprouts in November 2010. He brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery industry. Before his time with Sprouts Lucas held various positions with both the Kroger Company and Winn-Dixie.   Lucas excels at guiding large teams toward exceptional performance and strategic success. With a proven ability to inspire, organize, and execute, he combines a relentless drive for results with a genuine passion for developing talent. Known for creating high-performing environments, he empowers associates to realize their full potential—fostering growth, accountability, and a shared vision for success.

Cristina Edison brings almost 20 years of retail leadership experience, having grown up in operations and store management before transitioning into her true passion—training and development. With a career rooted in field operations, she has worked with global brands known for their customer engagement and immersive atmospheres, including her most recent role at Starbucks as a Regional Training Manager and certified Coffee Master. Cristina joined Sprouts in 2022 as a Regional Training & Development Manager. She is a certified facilitator in Purpose & Inclusion, Culture & Values, and Coaching, and is deeply committed to fostering environments where team members can thrive. She is especially passionate and takes pride in helping team members evolve into confident and capable leaders. 

With over 40 years in the grocery industry, including 7 years in leadership at Sprouts Farmers Market, Ricky brings a strategic, people-focused approach that consistently drives results. Ricky is passionate about mentoring, he fosters trust, collaboration, and growth, building strong relationships and developing future retail leaders while upholding operational excellence, integrity, and accountability.

Amy Buchanan is a passionate Learning and Development professional currently serving as a Regional Training and Development Manager at Sprouts, where she is driving growth and capability-building since 2022. With a career spanning impactful roles at Chewy, Pacific Dental Services, and Diamond Resorts, Amy brings a wealth of experience in training, coaching, and organizational development. 

She is a certified D.I.G. Into Coaching facilitator through the Hudson Institute of Coaching and a certified DDI Process Workshop coach and facilitator. Amy describes herself as a coach and forever learning, with a deep commitment to helping others reach their professional goals. A proud alumna of St. Petersburg College, she has a customer service obsession and a genuine love for developing people.

Rashad Smith joined Sprouts in 2023 as the Regional Training Manager for the Central Region, bringing with him not only a wealth of experience but a personal connection to the brand—having been a loyal customer in the Houston area since 2013. With over 14 years of cross-industry expertise spanning restaurants, software, medical, education, and government sectors, Rashad has built a dynamic career in learning and development across operations, field, and corporate environments. His skill set includes strategic leadership, onboarding, instructional design, LMS management, and leading high-performing training teams for store openings and special projects. Along with acquiring numerous certifications, in May 2025, Rashad earned his Master of Arts in Adult Learning & Development with a concentration in Workforce Development, further deepening his commitment to empowering others through lifelong learning. Rashad is deeply aligned with Sprouts’ mission to promote healthy living and is inspired by the company’s culture of support and wellness that resonates nationwide.

Sam Hazelwood joined Sprouts in 2018 as a Supply Chain Training Coordinator and has since grown through multiple roles supporting training, labor, and leadership development across business. With over 10 years of experience in training, Sam has played a key role in launching new programs and expanding development support to both Supply Chain and Store Operations teams. Now a Talent & Development Manager, Sam is passionate about helping others grow by connecting them to resources and opportunities that unlock their potential. The proudest moments in Sam’s work come when team members share the wins they’ve achieved in their own development journeys.

Emily Despriet was promoted to the Regional Vice President of the new Northwest region in January 2024 after joining Sprouts in June 2022 as the District director of the South Bay.  Before joining Sprouts, Emily held several leadership roles at Old Navy, Ross, and Mervyns, growing up in retail.  She is deeply passionate about developing leaders and driving results. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Monmouth College, and a Master of Science degree in Business from Colorado State University.

Lisa McLaughlin joined Sprouts 8 years ago as part of the Talent Acquisition team. After 10 years in retail operations as a Store Manager, she came to Sprouts with a passion for finding top talent and people-focused leaders for our stores. In early 2024, Lisa transitioned to the Training team, where she continued to grow that passion by developing others, driving engagement in our teams, and helping leaders and their teams thrive.

Hilda Doushgounian is the Regional Vice President at Sprouts Farmers Market, where she’s been leading with purpose since 2022. With senior leadership experience at both Target and Amazon, she brings a strong background in leading large teams, driving strategic growth, and developing top talent. Hilda holds a bachelor's degree in business management and is known for her passion for people and commitment to operational excellence.

Lauren Hunter is a seasoned Learning & Development professional with over 20 years of experience in retail, hospitality, and security, having held various roles across both Operations and Human Resources with companies such as Disney, Panera, and Securitas. Jim Bahrenburg, our chief technology officer, joined Sprouts in September 2023. Jim brings more than 20 years of experience in technology and business process to Sprouts in the grocery and retail space. Prior to joining Sprouts, from November 2019 to August 2023, Jim served as chief information officer of Good Food Holdings, the holding company of five food retail brands including Bristol Farms, Lazy Acres Natural Market, Metropolitan Market, New Seasons Market, and New Leaf Community Markets. Prior to joining Good Food Holdings, Jim served 99 Cent Only Stores for over 12 years. Earlier in his career, he served in various technology roles at Manhattan (previously Evant), The Walt Disney Company, and Accenture.

Jim holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Dartmouth College.

Joe Hurley, Chief Supply Chain Officer, joined Sprouts in April 2019. Joe brings more than 35+ years of experience to Sprouts in the grocery and retail supply chain space. Before joining Sprouts, Joe served as senior vice president, supply chain for the Giant Eagle chain in Pittsburgh from 2001 to 2019 where he held various leadership roles. Prior to Giant Eagle, Joe worked in supply chain leadership roles at SuperValu from 1990 to 2001.

Joe holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Virginia Military Institute, and a master of science degree in business administration from the California University of Pennsylvania.

Dustin Hamilton was appointed chief stores officer in November 2023. From August 2021 to November 2023, he served as our Regional Vice President for our California region. Prior to joining Sprouts, Dustin served as division vice president of retail at Bridgestone Corporation. Additionally, he served at Target Corporation in positions of increasing responsibility in retail management, culminating as Group Vice President.

Dustin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communication management from DeVry University.

Alisa Gmelich, our chief marketing officer, joined Sprouts in December 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience in brand development, marketing strategy, and customer loyalty to Sprouts.

Alisa most recently served as chief brand officer at Auntie Anne’s, and previously spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry where she held various positions, including vice president of marketing at IHOP, where she spearheaded its customer growth strategy, national programs and menu innovation. Prior to IHOP, Alisa led a marketing team for Burger King Corporation as director of U.S. sales, field marketing, driving local and national initiatives.

Alisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Art History from University of California, Riverside.

Scott Neal, Chief Merchandising Officer of Sprouts Farmers Market, leads the perishable and non-perishable teams, as well as the merchandise planning and schematics organizations. Scott has more than 25 years of retail experience. Prior to joining Sprouts in June of 2020, he served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for the fresh food division of Walmart U.S., where he oversaw produce, meat, and seafood merchandising along with quality control. Scott served Walmart over a 24-year career, including multiple leadership roles in the domestic and international businesses. Before moving to the U.S. division, he served as the head of general merchandise for Walmart Mexico from 1999 – 2003.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University and served as a member of the board of directors of Feeding America from 2016 to 2020. He was also awarded the “Sam Walton Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Walton Family.

Nick Konat, our president and chief operating officer, joined Sprouts in March 2022 and brings over 20 years of experience in retail, merchandising, consumer insights, and private brands to Sprouts. Nick joined Petco in 2015 and prior to his appointment as chief merchandising officer in 2018, served as vice president of private brands and merchandising and senior vice president – general manager. Prior to joining Petco, Nick served as director of food operations and merchandise planning at Target Corporation where he held a range of merchandising, planning and leadership roles across the food and fashion categories. He also spent six years with Accenture plc, a multinational professional services company.

Nick holds an honors bachelor’s degree in political science and government from St. John’s University.

Curtis Valentine, our chief financial officer since January 2024, contributes over 15 years of extensive financial and retail experience. With a tenure of more than eight years in leadership within the Sprouts financial organization, Curtis brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic financial acumen to the CFO role. Prior to joining Sprouts, Curtis served in financial management roles across multiple business units for seven years at PetSmart, Inc.

Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Timmi Zalatoris, our Chief Human Resources Officer, joined Sprouts in March 2017 and brings more than 17 years of HR leadership experience to our brand. She demonstrates a deep passion for our people and ensures we have the right talent across our company to drive success and build meaningful careers at Sprouts. She previously served as Head of Talent Management at Payless, and Senior Director of Human Resources at Ferrell Companies. Prior to that, she held various retail management roles.

Timmi earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Houston.

Brandon Hartline joined Sprouts in July 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in HR with companies such as California Pizza Kitchen, Quiksilver and Oakley.  As Regional HR Manager at Sprouts, he supports the SoCal Region and works closely with field leaders to grow talent, coach teams, and build strong leadership pipelines.  Brandon is passionate about helping people succeed and creating a culture where teams thrive.

Dave McGlinchey currently serves as our Chief Development Officer. He oversees new format development, real estate site selection and construction. Since joining Sprouts in 2017, Dave has held multiple roles including: senior vice president of merchandising services from 2017-2018, chief merchandising officer from 2018-2020 and most recently chief strategy officer from 2020-2025.

Dave brings more than 20 years of grocery merchandising and leadership experience to Sprouts in both mass and conventional grocery. Before joining Sprouts, he was senior vice president of merchandising and marketing for Shaw’s and Star Market in the northeast area of the country. Earlier, he served in a number of leadership roles over a 14-year span at Stop & Shop/Giant Food, including senior vice president of merchandising support and vice president of grocery merchandising. Dave earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance and his MBA from Bentley University.

Jack Sinclair, our chief executive officer and board member, brings more than 35 years of experience in retail and grocery to Sprouts since joining the company in June 2019.

He has served as a board member of FMI – The Food Industry Association since 2020 and was appointed to the Los Angeles branch board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in January 2021. Jack was previously chief executive officer of 99 Cents Only Stores LLC, a premier discount retailer with over 350 locations in the United States, since 2018. Prior to that, he was chief merchandising officer from 2015 to 2018. From 2007 to 2015, Jack was the executive vice president of the U.S. Grocery Division of Walmart, Inc., where he led all aspects of Walmart’s U.S. grocery business at its more than 4,000 stores, which generated substantial growth under his leadership through a focus on local assortment and fresh foods. Jack also spent 14 years at Safeway PLC in London where he was responsible for operations, merchandising and marketing for over 450 Safeway supermarket and convenience store locations throughout the United Kingdom. He served on the board of directors of The Hain Celestial Group, a leading marketer, manufacturer and seller of organic and natural products, from September 2017 to June 2019.

Jack earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and marketing from The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.

Kim Coffin, our Chief Forager, joined Sprouts in 2012 and brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery space, strengthening product categories and building strong partnerships with our vendors.

Prior to her current role, Kim served as vice president of grocery at Sprouts for eight years. Before joining Sprouts, Kim held various leadership roles at Sunflower Farmers Market. From 1987 to 2010, Kim worked in grocery sales for Albertsons.

Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Portland State University.
