Jack Sinclair, our chief executive officer and board member, brings more than 35 years of experience in retail and grocery to Sprouts since joining the company in June 2019.
He has served as a board member of FMI – The Food Industry Association since 2020 and was appointed to the Los Angeles branch board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in January 2021. Jack was previously chief executive officer of 99 Cents Only Stores LLC, a premier discount retailer with over 350 locations in the United States, since 2018. Prior to that, he was chief merchandising officer from 2015 to 2018. From 2007 to 2015, Jack was the executive vice president of the U.S. Grocery Division of Walmart, Inc., where he led all aspects of Walmart’s U.S. grocery business at its more than 4,000 stores, which generated substantial growth under his leadership through a focus on local assortment and fresh foods. Jack also spent 14 years at Safeway PLC in London where he was responsible for operations, merchandising and marketing for over 450 Safeway supermarket and convenience store locations throughout the United Kingdom. He served on the board of directors of The Hain Celestial Group, a leading marketer, manufacturer and seller of organic and natural products, from September 2017 to June 2019.
Jack earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and marketing from The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.

Kim Coffin, our Chief Forager, joined Sprouts in 2012 and brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery space, strengthening product categories and building strong partnerships with our vendors.
Prior to her current role, Kim served as vice president of grocery at Sprouts for eight years. Before joining Sprouts, Kim held various leadership roles at Sunflower Farmers Market. From 1987 to 2010, Kim worked in grocery sales for Albertsons.
Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Portland State University.
Alisa Gmelich

Alisa Gmelich, our chief marketing officer, joined Sprouts in December 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience in brand development, marketing strategy, and customer loyalty to Sprouts.
Alisa most recently served as chief brand officer at Auntie Anne’s, and previously spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry where she held various positions, including vice president of marketing at IHOP, where she spearheaded its customer growth strategy, national programs and menu innovation. Prior to IHOP, Alisa led a marketing team for Burger King Corporation as director of U.S. sales, field marketing, driving local and national initiatives.
Alisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Art History from University of California, Riverside.
Scott Neal

Scott Neal, Chief Merchandising Officer of Sprouts Farmers Market, leads the perishable and non-perishable teams, as well as the merchandise planning and schematics organizations. Scott has more than 25 years of retail experience. Prior to joining Sprouts in June of 2020, he served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for the fresh food division of Walmart U.S., where he oversaw produce, meat, and seafood merchandising along with quality control. Scott served Walmart over a 24-year career, including multiple leadership roles in the domestic and international businesses. Before moving to the U.S. division, he served as the head of general merchandise for Walmart Mexico from 1999 – 2003.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University and served as a member of the board of directors of Feeding America from 2016 to 2020. He was also awarded the “Sam Walton Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Walton Family.

Curtis Valentine, our chief financial officer since January 2024, contributes over 15 years of extensive financial and retail experience. With a tenure of more than eight years in leadership within the Sprouts financial organization, Curtis brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic financial acumen to the CFO role. Prior to joining Sprouts, Curtis served in financial management roles across multiple business units for seven years at PetSmart, Inc.

She previously served as Head of Talent Management at Payless, and Senior Director of Human Resources at Ferrell Companies. Prior to that, she held various retail management roles.

The first 20 years were spent in Operations; 17 years as a store manager. The last 11 years were as a HR Business Partner in the DFW Metroplex. He earned his BBA in Business from The University of Texas. For him, the most satisfying and rewarding part of his job is helping others achieve their goals in their career.

At Stop & Shop, Tarik held the title of VP of Operations for their NY region, in which he oversaw the operations of 84 grocery stores and five home delivery warehouses. Tarik also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California and an MBA from Baylor University. He has also served as a Board Member for the Long Island Cares Food Bank. Tarik is passionate about developing his team and helping his region grow. In his spare time, he and his wife, Tricia like to eat good food, travel the world, and spend time with their daschund, Jack.

Scott Neal, Chief Merchandising Officer of Sprouts Farmers Market, leads the perishable and non-perishable teams, as well as the merchandise planning and schematics organizations. Scott has more than 25 years of retail experience. Prior to joining Sprouts in June of 2020, he served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for the fresh food division of Walmart U.S., where he oversaw produce, meat, and seafood merchandising along with quality control. Scott served Walmart over a 24-year career, including multiple leadership roles in the domestic and international businesses. Before moving to the U.S. division, he served as the head of general merchandise for Walmart Mexico from 1999 – 2003.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University and served as a member of the board of directors of Feeding America from 2016 to 2020. He was also awarded the “Sam Walton Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Walton Family.

Kim Coffin, our Chief Forager, joined Sprouts in 2012 and brings over 30 years of experience in the grocery space, strengthening product categories and building strong partnerships with our vendors.
Prior to her current role, Kim served as vice president of grocery at Sprouts for eight years. Before joining Sprouts, Kim held various leadership roles at Sunflower Farmers Market. From 1987 to 2010, Kim worked in grocery sales for Albertsons.

Alisa Gmelich, our chief marketing officer, joined Sprouts in December 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience in brand development, marketing strategy, and customer loyalty to Sprouts.
Alisa most recently served as chief brand officer at Auntie Anne’s, and previously spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry where she held various positions, including vice president of marketing at IHOP, where she spearheaded its customer growth strategy, national programs and menu innovation. Prior to IHOP, Alisa led a marketing team for Burger King Corporation as director of U.S. sales, field marketing, driving local and national initiatives.
Alisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Art History from University of California, Riverside.

Nick Konat, our president and chief operating officer, joined Sprouts in March 2022 and brings over 20 years of experience in retail, merchandising, consumer insights, and private brands to Sprouts. Nick joined Petco in 2015 and prior to his appointment as chief merchandising officer in 2018, served as vice president of private brands and merchandising and senior vice president – general manager. Prior to joining Petco, Nick served as director of food operations and merchandise planning at Target Corporation where he held a range of merchandising, planning and leadership roles across the food and fashion categories. He also spent six years with Accenture plc, a multinational professional services company.
Nick holds an honors bachelor’s degree in political science and government from St. John’s University.

His career progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility, including Assistant Regional Manager in San Diego and Regional Director in Georgia, where he was instrumental in our expansion and development into a national brand. Nick began his current role as DRI in 2021. Nick held various positions at Albertsons prior to coming over to Sprouts in 2004. Nick is a graduate of California State University, San Marcos.

Prior to joining Sprouts, he served as the region director for the southwest region at Bridgestone Retail Operations. Earlier in his career, he served in various technology roles at Manhattan (previously Evant), The Walt Disney Company, and Accenture.

Before joining Sprouts, Joe served as senior vice president, supply chain for the Giant Eagle chain in Pittsburgh from 2001 to 2019 where he held various leadership roles. Prior to Giant Eagle, Joe worked in supply chain leadership roles at SuperValu from 1990 to 2001.

Dustin Hamilton was appointed chief stores officer in November 2023. From August 2021 to November 2023, he served as our Regional Vice President for our California region. Prior to joining Sprouts, Dustin served as division vice president of retail at Bridgestone Corporation. Additionally, he served at Target Corporation in positions of increasing responsibility in retail management, culminating as Group Vice President.

Alisa most recently served as chief brand officer at Auntie Anne’s, and previously spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry where she held various positions, including vice president of marketing at IHOP, where she spearheaded its customer growth strategy, national programs and menu innovation. Prior to IHOP, Alisa led a marketing team for Burger King Corporation as director of U.S. sales, field marketing, driving local and national initiatives.

Scott Neal, Chief Merchandising Officer of Sprouts Farmers Market, leads the perishable and non-perishable teams, as well as the merchandise planning and schematics organizations. Scott has more than 25 years of retail experience. Prior to joining Sprouts in June of 2020, he served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for the fresh food division of Walmart U.S., where he oversaw produce, meat, and seafood merchandising along with quality control. Scott served Walmart over a 24-year career, including multiple leadership roles in the domestic and international businesses. Before moving to the U.S. division, he served as the head of general merchandise for Walmart Mexico from 1999 – 2003.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University and served as a member of the board of directors of Feeding America from 2016 to 2020. He was also awarded the “Sam Walton Entrepreneur of the Year” award from the Walton Family.

Jack was previously chief executive officer of 99 Cents Only Stores LLC, a premier discount retailer with over 350 locations in the United States, since 2018. Prior to that, he was chief merchandising officer from 2015 to 2018. From 2007 to 2015, Jack was the executive vice president of the U.S. Grocery Division of Walmart, Inc., where he led all aspects of Walmart’s U.S. grocery business at its more than 4,000 stores, which generated substantial growth under his leadership through a focus on local assortment and fresh foods. Jack also spent 14 years at Safeway PLC in London where he was responsible for operations, merchandising and marketing for over 450 Safeway supermarket and convenience store locations throughout the United Kingdom. He served on the board of directors of The Hain Celestial Group, a leading marketer, manufacturer and seller of organic and natural products, from September 2017 to June 2019.

With a tenure of more than eight years in leadership within the Sprouts financial organization, Curtis brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic financial acumen to the CFO role. Prior to joining Sprouts, Curtis served in financial management roles across multiple business units for seven years at PetSmart, Inc.

Cory David serves as the Regional Vice President of the Southwest Region and has held this role since August of 2023. He began his Sprouts career as District Director in California in June 2021. Cory has a long career in retail and store operations with humble beginnings as a Courtesy Clerk with Hy-Vee in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he was raised. Before Sprouts Farmers Market, he held high-impact roles in the discount retail industry with 99 Cents Only Stores as Sr. Director Store Operations and Family Dollar as a Regional Vice President. In addition to the field roles, Cory spent over 7 years as a Store Director for companies such as Roundy’s Supermarket and Winn-Dixie. Cory has a passion for people development and mentorship, as he contributes his success to those who mentored him along the way. He is passionate about giving back to others.

Alisa Gmelich, our chief marketing officer, joined Sprouts in December 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience in brand development, marketing strategy, and customer loyalty to Sprouts.
Alisa most recently served as chief brand officer at Auntie Anne’s, and previously spent over 15 years in the restaurant industry where she held various positions, including vice president of marketing at IHOP, where she spearheaded its customer growth strategy, national programs and menu innovation. Prior to IHOP, Alisa led a marketing team for Burger King Corporation as director of U.S. sales, field marketing, driving local and national initiatives.

Tarik Stewart has served as the Regional Vice President of the Central Region since joining Sprouts Farmers Market on July 8th, 2024. Tarik brings to Sprouts over 25 years of retail and food service experience from several global companies, such as 7-Eleven Inc., and Stop & Shop (Ahold Delhaize). During his time with 7-Eleven, Tarik held many positions from store operations, category manager, director of operations, and director of business transformation & change management. At Stop & Shop, Tarik held the title of VP of Operations for their NY region, in which he oversaw the operations of 84 grocery stores and five home delivery warehouses. Tarik also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California and an MBA from Baylor University. He has also served as a Board Member for the Long Island Cares Food Bank. Tarik is passionate about developing his team and helping his region grow. In his spare time, he and his wife, Tricia like to eat good food, travel the world, and spend time with their daschund, Jack.

Chef Matthew Pratta is the Corporate Chef and Culinary Director at Sprouts Farmers Market where he is charged with a wide selection of prepared foods across the store, assists in the creation of private label products and answers to all things culinary. He has worked in food service as a product developer for multiple retailers, cut his teeth in the Michelin circuit in La Rioja, Spain and Barcelona. He formalized his training at Johnson & Wales University with a background in culinary nutrition.

Prior to joining Sprouts, he served as the region director for the southwest region at Bridgestone Retail Operations. Nick Bell began his journey with Sprouts as a Store Manager at Henry’s Farmers Market, before taking on the role of Meat Merchandiser, a role he continued following Henry’s merger with Sprouts. His career progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility, including Assistant Regional Manager in San Diego and Regional Director in Georgia, where he was instrumental in our expansion and development into a national brand. Nick began his current role as DRI in 2021. Nick held various positions at Albertsons prior to coming over to Sprouts in 2004. Nick is a graduate of California State University, San Marcos.

Stanton Swinton joined SFM in 2016, Stan has an extensive career that spans executive roles at Sprouts, Strack & Van Til, A&P, and Albertsons. Stan has significant leadership experience in category management, merchandising, operations, and driving sales across most CPG areas. Departments include grocery, frozen food, fresh meat, dairy, seafood as well as spirits, beer, & wine and pharmacy. Over half of Stan’s 37-year grocery retail career was spent managing and developing teams in stores, with over 5 years running multiple stores. Stan began his career at Frys (Kroger) holding various store positions for 7years until leaving to join Alberton's. Stan is a graduate of New Caney High School and attended college at North Harris CC.
